What a certificate of analysis actually proves

Almost every vendor now says “third-party tested”, and the phrase has been worn down to nothing. What matters is which of four questions the certificate on your vial can answer, because they are genuinely different claims and only the last one is worth much.

A purity figure with no batch number cannot be tied to what you were sent. A certificate dated eighteen months ago covers a synthesis run that is long gone. This is the first thing scored on every vendor page here, and it is the thing that moves a ranking most.

Is there a batch number on it?

Without one, the certificate belongs to no particular vial. It proves the vendor tested something, once.

Does the batch number match your vial?

The step nobody takes. If the label reads a different lot to the PDF, the document is decoration.

Who ran the test?

An in-house HPLC trace is not third-party testing. A named independent lab on the letterhead is.

What does it not measure?

HPLC purity says nothing about endotoxin, residual solvent or correct sequence. Mass spec and a bacterial endotoxin test are separate documents, and most vendors do not have them.

Epithalon, NAD+, SS-31, GHK-Cu, MOTS-c. Mechanistically unrelated to each other — grouped by what they are studied for rather than how they work.

Body Composition

Retatrutide, tirzepatide and cagrilintide. The incretin class, where dose strength varies more than anything else and per-milligram price is the only fair comparison.

Performance

The growth hormone secretagogues — ipamorelin, CJC-1295 and the blend. Sold both separately and pre-mixed, which is worth knowing before buying twice.

Cognitive

Selank. A single entry, and honestly labelled as one rather than padded out to look like a range.
